LinkedIn isn’t the most exciting social media platform by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a place where professionals converge and share their stories. It can be useful, especially if you’re in the corporate or business world. While it may not be the most fun platform, it can help your business to grow if you know how to use it.

Plus, through LinkedIn, you can grow your networks and improve brand exposure. You could also even build authority through LinkedIn automation tools, search engine optimization (SEO), and hashtags. So, it’s a great way to put yourself out there as a business.

That said, here’s how your business can make the most out of LinkedIn.

    1. Use Automation Tools

While you can manage your LinkedIn profile single-handedly, it can become difficult if your engagements increase. Thankfully, because of innovations in technology, you can integrate automation tools such as LinkedIn Helper 2 with your profile to help you manage your account.

Automation tools for social applications like LinkedIn are called bots. This artificial intelligence (AI) powered bots can help you not only plan and schedule posts but can help you find the right connections suited for you.

These automation tools are generally inexpensive. Your job is to discover the one that you prefer most and that suits your budget.

    2. Post-High-Quality Content

The best way to build and uphold engagement on social media is to create good quality content. This is particularly true for platforms like LinkedIn, where professionals interact. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t incorporate things like humor into your content. Perhaps you may have to consider the appropriateness of every joke as well as every post you publish. But, ensure that it’s high quality because people don’t pay attention to poor quality content.

Therefore, if you’re posting pictures, use high-quality images. If you’re telling a story, make sure that it’s well-written and captivating. Remember, the quality of what you post reflects what your business is about. You want your brand to be associated with quality, nothing less. So that’s what you should aim for, even in your content.

    3. Post Regularly

To boost engagement, you need to post regularly. While it’s important to post quality content, it’s also just as important to post consistently. Remember, people’s attention spans on social media are short. So, to keep people engaged, you’ve got to give them something to engage with people regularly.

Now, you don’t have to overdo it, say, by posting after every hour (unless you’re posting live updates of a live event). Setting a target of one post per day may suffice. It’s all about consistency. The more you post consistently, the more reactions and engagement you receive, and the greater your visibility on the platform.

    4. Include Publications

LinkedIn gives you the option to post your publications. If you have any publications worth posting, include them. You could also even go to the extent of publishing noteworthy presentations if need be.

Also, you can even include some informative articles on your company page. These publications help to show your audience or network that you’re knowledgeable in your field of expertise.

    5. Engage With People

Now, while LinkedIn is a professional space, it’s still social media. Therefore, you should interact with other people. That’s what social media is for. Even your business page has to be active.

You must engage with your network because it helps them to get to know you more and your products better. Plus, if you want people to endorse your business, it’s easy to ask them if you’re on good terms with your audience. Mind you, testimonials are powerful and can even boost your business sales significantly.

So, talk to people, comment on relevant posts, and respond to relevant direct messages. The point is just to engage with people.

    6. Set Up LinkedIn Company Page

    Set Up LinkedIn Company Page

Every business should have a company page. When you do set up a LinkedIn page, make sure that it has a compelling call to action. When populace land on your page, they should know what your company is about instantly. So, it would make sense to put a lot of thought into the description, profile picture, and banner. All those things work together to create a positive first impression on the visitor.

Make the descriptions short, but informative. Also, make sure that the page is always up to date.

    7. Join Relevant Groups

You need to find relevant groups with active participants. Once you’re a member, make sure you participate in those groups. The reason is that it increases your visibility the more you participate. There’s an opportunity to connect with other people and businesses that could be beneficial to you. Also, you can build a network within your area of expertise. Plus, it’s a great way to make your products known because it exposes you to new people.

    Conclusion

LinkedIn, much like all other social media platforms, needs you to understand your audience. LinkedIn is a professional place, so make sure that whatever you do, it’s done professionally. That doesn’t mean you have to be boring, but that things have to be appropriate and inoffensive at the very least. Also, depending on your business, the approach you take may be different. However, it’s significant to keep in mind that you stay engaged and build a strong network of followers.
